WA Day festival 2022: 500 drones to light up the sky in biggest WA show

WA Day 2022 is set to see 500 drones take to the sky to showcase the iconic stories and images of WA with an epic local playlist to back it. This drone show will be the biggest Western Australia has seen, 200 more than the recent Perth city drone show.

WA Day, 6 June 2022, celebrations start at 12pm and finish up at 9pm. The drone show will start at 6:45pm.
A reimagined WA Day Festival returns in 2022, with a stacked WA live music line-up, the state’s biggest drone light show, talented musicians performing live and world class food and wine to enjoy. Come and experience everything that makes WA such a great place to live. Proudly supported by BHP, The State Government of Western Australia and Lotterywest.
From 12 noon onwards, let the kids run wild with FREE entertainment and attractions. There’s a giant silent disco, roaming entertainers, 16 carnival rides & games, plus over 20 incredible family fun activations including Scitech, WA Museum, Lotterywest, HBF, Channel 7, Nova and many more.
Indulge your senses with over 60 food trucks offering a melting pot of multicultural cuisine, Gage Roads Bar with local beers and wines and enjoy the Lotterywest Community Stage showcasing local talent.
Immerse yourself in indigenous storytelling with Wadjuk Dreaming. Celebrating the Whadjuk Noongar history in Western Australia, an anthology of four animated short films in the big dome. Experience an intimate ‘yarn round the campfire’ as you experience the wonder of the Dreamtime stories.
