DJI's Mavic 3 line up now consists of three consumer and prosumer level models, Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Classic, and Mavic 3 CINE. But what exactly is different between the models and how do they compare side to side? Let's find out.

What’s different?

DJI Mavic 3 Classic

Mavic 3 Classic drops the tele camera found on the standard and CINE version of the Mavic 3, reducing the price while keeping the 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad main camera. Mavic 3 Classic also appears to have a new cruise control flight mode, which allows the user to fly the drone at a constant speed without touching the sticks.

Mavic 3 Classic is currently the only drone that is available as a standalone unit where the user brings their own controller as well as a version with the DJI RC controller. Mavic 3 Classic doesn’t support gimbal lock.

DJI Mavic 3 CINE

Mavic 3 CINE gains a built-in 1TB SSD as well as support for Apple’s ProRes 422 HQ , ProRes 422, and ProRes 422 LT codecs. The CINE version of the drone is the only one to come with the DJI RC Pro controller.

What’s the same?

All three version of the Mavic 3 feature the same 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad main camera, flight characteristics, flight time, support for both the DJI RC and DJI RC Pro controllers along with the rest of the specs. Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 CINE both support gimbal lock.

Price

As a result of slightly different feature sets, the price of all three versions differs, allowing users with various budgets to get their hands on a Mavic 3. The current Australian pricing for the three drones is as follows:
